Well, I am not sure, but probably because it is the forum dedicated to the french fan video serial called "France Five." And, in "F5," "F" stands for "France" and "5" for "Five," so "F5" is some kind of abrevation...
Then, you can ask why is the serial call "France Five?" The answer is probably because it take place in France and tells the story of five main characters...

Thank you! Well, I hope it will not dissuade jjsneaker from posting here. His question seems to me a bit incongruous --- and, you know, I love to play, --- but he may simply came here by seeking some forum about tokusatsu or something like that, not knowing anything about France Five. If that would be the case, this is the opportunity for him to discover France Five!
Anyway, two French guy talking together in English, is it snobbery?
